The Future Generations Collaborative began as a circle of Native-serving organizations, families, Elders, and public-health partners with one shared goal: healthy pregnancies, healthy births, and strong Native families in Multnomah County.

2012

The circle forms

Native-serving organizations, families, and public-health partners come together to increase healthy pregnancies and births in Multnomah County.

2012–2019

Rooted in FASD prevention

The collaborative grows its work preventing Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and supporting families living with its lifelong impacts.

Answering the moment

Through the pandemic, the FGC expands to meet broader public-health needs, from food to housing to healing.

2022

An independent nonprofit

The FGC becomes an independent Native-led 501(c)(3), while continuing its long partnership with Multnomah County.
